This is the primary inspiration source I used for the project, concept art by David Cheong for the 2013 real time strategy game Company of Heroes 2.

Though the assignment didn’t call for it, I decided to spend some time figuring out how to animate Mery’s hair dynamically in Maya so it moved when she turns her head. It was difficult to get it to look natural, but I’m proud to say I at least achieved some movement.






This scene was the final project for my first LookDev & Lighting class, and inspired me to pursue the LookDev track early in my career. I loved how substance painter layer masks and generators stacked together for each map, creating a complex final surface.
